Monotype Printmaking Workshop with Farah Mohammad | June 16

Join SAWCC for a monotype printmaking workshop, June 16th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop at Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, led by Farah Mohammad! Participants will learn the art of spontaneity and collaboration with a printing press. Working directly on plexiglass plates, we will use ink, hand-cut stencils, and collage elements to build layered compositions.

About the Artist:
Farah Mohammad is a visual artist and educator based in New York City. She received her BA from Bennington College and her MFA from Columbia University. Her exhibition highlights include solo exhibitions at Nyama Fine Art, New York, and Deerfield Academy, Deerfield, MA; and group exhibitions at the Moss Arts Center, Blacksburg, VA; Half Gallery; The Print Center New York; EFA’s Blackburn 20|20 Gallery; The Jewish Museum; ChaShaMa; Field Projects; and Fridman Gallery, all in New York. Mohammad has participated in artist residencies at MacDowell, Yaddo, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Institute for Electronic Arts at Alfred University, Cornerstone Studios, LMCC, and the Keyholder Residency at Lower East Side Printshop. She received the NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship in 2023 and is currently an Artist Fellow at the National Arts Club, New York. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Baltimore Museum of Art.
