We navigate through private and public space, making meaning for ourselves within larger political, social, and cultural frameworks. As we are forced into constant confrontation, negotiation, and social action, our personal investigations become the perspectives from which we function, carving our territory. The works of these fourteen South Asian women artists explore these issues, in their constructions, contexts, and magnitudes.
